what will we do?
We will start with a spectacular view of the city’s harbor from the Christ of Havana and the fortress Los Tres Reyes del Morro on the east side of Havana’s Bay. Next, across from the harbor, you will see Parque Central with its beautiful theater Alicia Alonso, seat of the Cuban National Ballet and the National Capitol building, based on the Panthéon in Paris (not the U.S Capitol, as it is sometimes claimed). There is no other city in the world so layered with hidden beauty. China Town and Reina Street in Centro Habana will show you a wide variety of elegant and dilapidated buildings.
In the business district of Plaza, dominated by modern buildings, we will stop at the Revolution Square, the site where Cubans hold demonstrations and political rallies. You will also explore Havana’s Forrest, the so-called lungs of the city, location for religious rituals and for quinceañeras (15-years old girls) to go on photo shoots. Further west, you will drive through Miramar, visually defined by the spacious and beautiful 5th Avenue, lined up with the luxurious mansions from the 50s.
You will finish your tour with a drive all along El Malecón, the place where Habaneros meet every afternoon for a drink at sunset. It will be the perfect time to feel the pulse of the city.
