what will we do?
The journey to Viñales takes about two hours and thirty minutes. During your trip, you will be able to observe the Cuban fields and the houses where peasants live in the western region of the country. Upon arrival, the first stop will be at the Mirador de los Jazmines, where you will appreciate a perfect view of the Viñales Valley, its mogotes and the colorful vegetation that surrounds it. Get your cameras out!
Your local guide will be waiting for you in the town center and together you will enjoy a pleasant walk through the valley. You will visit tobacco farms where you will learn about the manufacturing process of the cigars (and taste one if you dare!) and coffee farms, where you will be able to share with many of the locals who live in the area. At the end of the walk, you will be delighted with an authentic traditional lunch in an organic farm.
To finish the excursion you will enter the Cueva del Indio, an ancient cavern adorned by hundreds of mineral structures where you will enjoy an underground boat ride.
